The 50th PBA Governors’ Cup tipped off on July 10, with teams once again allowed one import standing no taller than 6’6” (1.98 meters). This season’s 13 imports feature a mix of returning PBA veterans and first-timers, bringing a blend of experience and fresh talent to the league’s final conference.

While returning imports already have a feel for the PBA and its brand of basketball, newcomers bring fresh perspectives and different skill sets to their teams. Here’s a closer look at the imports set to make an impact this conference.

  • Cameron Clark – He is back for his fourth PBA stint after previous runs in 2022, 2023, and last season. The power forward joins the Converge FiberXers as a late replacement for Jalen Hudson and Jamaal Franklin.
  • Aaron Fuller – Aaron Fuller returns as Rain or Shine’s import for a second consecutive season. At 36, the small forward/power forward is among the most experienced imports in the conference, having played in the PBA in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2021–22, and 2024.
  • Antonio Hester – Antonio Hester is back for his fourth PBA stint, this time with the Meralco Bolts. The 36-year-old power forward from Miami brings plenty of PBA experience as he steps in for the injured Jordon Varnado.
  • George King – Former Phoenix Suns forward George King returns to the PBA for his second stint, now suiting up for the San Miguel Beermen. King previously played for the Blackwater Bossing, where he erupted for a career-high 64 points against the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
  • DeQuan Jones – DeQuan Jones is back with the NLEX Road Warriors for a second consecutive season. The 36-year-old small forward has built an extensive international résumé, with stints in Italy, Japan, China, Israel, and the NBA G League.
  • Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson – Rahlir Hollis-Jefferson returns to the TNT Tropang 5G as a late replacement for Darius Days. He previously played for TNT in the 2023–24 Commissioners’ Cup, when he replaced his injured younger brother, veteran import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. This season, Rahlir is once again stepping in while Rondae recovers from injury.
  • Kentrell Barkley – Kentrell Barkley makes his PBA debut with the Blackwater Bossing. The 29-year-old small forward/power forward most recently played in the Indonesian Basketball League and has also suited up in Taiwan, Australia, Singapore, Luxembourg, Vietnam, and the NBA G League.
  • Tirrell Brown – Tirrell Brown is making his PBA debut as the Titan Ultra Giant Risers’ import. The 32-year-old American brings extensive international experience, having played in leagues across Latin America, including Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Ecuador.
  • KJ Buffen – Kenyon Joseph “KJ” Buffen makes his PBA debut with the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots. The 26-year-old last played in the Indonesian Basketball League, where he averaged 21.5 points and 11.3 rebounds.
  • Riley Grigsby – Riley Grigsby takes over as Barangay Ginebra San Miguel’s import following Justin Brownlee’s injury. The 26-year-old small forward/power forward has experience in the NBA G League and Luxembourg and will look to make an impact in his first PBA stint.
