Elite Call of Duty: Mobile (CODM) teams from the Philippines and abroad went head-to-head for $100,000 in prize money at the Garena Summer Festival 2026 on May 23 and 24. 

Held at the SMX Aura Convention Center, the festival gathered esports athletes, content creators and gaming fans under the theme “Connect, Compete, Celebrate.” 

The two-day event was headlined by the Garena Elite Philippines (GEP) and the Garena Summer Invitational (GSI), two premier LAN tournaments that highlighted the growing competitiveness of the regional CODM scene. 

Pinoy Gaming Power at GEP 

On the opening day, Garena Elite Philippines took center stage as Filipino teams battled through a series of high-stakes matches for local supremacy. Players competed across Multiplayer and Battle Royal divisions, setting up an energetic tone for the weekend. 

The excitement reached its peak as Team Skaeri and MG Oblivion faced off at the Grand Finals. With their commanding performances, Skaeri never ceased to dominate the battlefield, which led them to their victory after defeating MG Oblivion 3-1 in the tournament’s best-of-five series.  

The Clash of the Region’s Best 

The second day brought more tension as it shifted to the international stage at the Garena Summer Invitational, featuring the best teams from the Southeast Asian region. The intensity heightened with the regional semi-finals and culminated in an epic best-of-7 Grand Finals. 

After a competitive series of matches, Team Elevate from the Philippines proved its dominance at the Grand Finals, winning 4-3 over fellow Philippine team Al-Ula Club. Both squads punched their tickets to the Garena Qualifiers of the CODM World Championships to be held in August. 

As the CODM Summer Fest concluded, the Philippines stood tall with victories in both GEP and GSI, capping off a dominant run across the event. Moreover, the festival not only crowned the tournament’s champions, but it also celebrated the dedication and growing competitive spirit among players while highlighting the continued rise of Filipino excellence on the esports stage.
