He began his competitive skiing journey in 2019 and initially competed for Italy in different races, gaining valuable experience and prominence in the sport. In 2023, he chose to represent his birth country, the Philippines, across major events such as the Asian Winter Games 2025.

Through his solid rankings and active participation in multiple International Ski and Skateboarding Federation (FIS) races, he met international standards that secured his eligibility to compete in the Winter Olympics.

The Road to the Winter Olympics

Following the footsteps of notable figures in winter sports, Francis earned a historic spot for the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics 2026, making him the fifth alpine skier in the Philippine history to qualify for the Winter Olympics.

His journey demonstrates talent, determination, and a deliberate move to push boundaries, especially for tropical nations venturing into winter sports.
