Following their Game 1, both teams entered Game 2 with added pressure and clear intentions— Creamline closing out the series with another title and Cignal looking to bounce back. From aggressive attacks to explosive scoring, the final battle featured key performances that fueled victory.
Where Two Powerhouses Collide
The championship match began with both teams exchanging heavy blows in the first set. In the last stretch of Set 1, Creamline established an early lead over Cignal, claiming the set 25-23.
The tables turned in the second set, as Cignal gained momentum with a more aggressive approach, which led Cignal to take over the set, 25-22. However, the third set saw Cignal struggling to find its rhythm in the third set as Creamline refused to back down, until it commanded the set 25-16.
After Creamline comfortably took Set 3, Cignal responded strongly with greater urgency in Set 4 after their setback. Momentum stayed with them through most of the match, until Creamline shifted the tide in the decisive Set 5.
With 15-11, Creamline Cool Smashers finished strong against Cignal and officially sealed the victory. This marked the seventh All-Filipino Conference win and 11th overall title for Creamline, remaining the most decorated team in the league.
Standout Players in the Hard-fought Battle
Game 2 lived up to expectations as a tense, back-and-forth duel between the two top-tier teams, driven by the consistent impact of the players who kept the game highly competitive from start to finish.
Bernadeth Pons of Creamline was named the Player of the Game after showing an all-around performance with 22 offense points, 25 excellent digs, and 15 receptions. Meanwhile, Cignal’s Vanie Gandler was crowned as the tournament MVP, posting a massive 26 points alongside 15 receptions and 14 digs.
Other key players include Creamline’s Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Jia De Guzman, and Cignal’s Erika Santos, Tin Tiamzon, and Dawn Catindig, who showed steady support for their team’s momentum.
